Urgent Care NP/PA Opportunity in Alexandria, Virginia

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs comprehensive medical exams for walk-in urgent care patients requiring health evaluation.
  • Performs minor surgical procedures as needed (e.g. suturing)
  • Order and review lab work and other ancillary diagnostics tests, integrates into management plan.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with other members of healthcare team
  • Managing overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues
  • Prescribing medications
  • Maintain knowledge base

Requirements of the Urgent Care NP/PA
  • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctoral Degree in Nursing Required
  • Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program Required
  • 1 Year of Pediatric Experience (Required) – Post-Graduate Pediatric Experience, Not Just a Rotation
  • Pediatric Emergency Room, Pediatric Intensive Care, or Pediatric Urgent Care Experience Preferred
  • Comfortable with Minor Surgical Procedures, Including Suturing
  • Licensed in the State of Virginia
