Requirements of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certification
- Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) (Preference in Primary Care Pediatrics)
- Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Licensed in the state of North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current DEA (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS and/or PALS certification (or ability to renew)
- 1-2 Years of Post-Graduate Pediatric Experience Required (not just a rotation)
