Now Hiring a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist in Marshfield, Wisconsin!

This established health system in Marshfield, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist to provide inpatient and outpatient care for children with a variety of infectious diseases, including congenital infections, Lyme disease, HIV, CMV, MRSA, and travel-related illnesses. Join an established physician with shared MA and RN support, a collaborative children’s hospital, and a wide range of pediatric subspecialties onsite. Call is shared, and H-1B and 2028 J-1 visa support are available.

Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist Position

• Permanent full-time (1.0FTE)
• The second Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist will treat many conditions including:
  • Blastomycosis
  • CMV
  • Congenital infections
  • Fever of unknown origin
  • HIV
  • Hospital follow-up
  • Lyme disease
  • Lymphadenopathy
  • MRSA infection
  • Periodic or recurrent fevers
  • Tick-borne illnesses
• No procedures currently, physician will only administer vaccines/immunizations
• Average daily patient volume: 4-6/day
• Schedule is typically Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, with some flexibility
• On-site Children’s Hospital with women’s health, newborn nursery, General Pediatrics, PICU, NICU and pediatric sedation unit
• Ronald McDonald House and other alternative housing for pediatric trauma patients
• Practice alongside with other specialists and at a location that is shared with
• Well established patient base, outpatient pediatric primary and specialty care is co-located. Diagnosis list is very diverse.
• Collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, UW Health, Children’s Minnesota
• $100,000 Retention Incentive Available

Requirements of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist

• Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified/Eligible
• Has Completed a Pediatric Residency Program
• Has/Will Complete Fellowship Training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases
• 2027 Grad Fellows and Experienced Physicians Encouraged to Apply!
